When is my LTO registration due?

Type your plate number. LTO’s schedule reads it from the last two numbers, so the answer is already on your car.

  • LastThe last number sets the month: 1 is January, 9 is September, 0 is October.
  • Before itThe number before it sets the week of that month.

Cars and motorcycles. Your plate stays on this page: nothing is sent anywhere.

Your month and week show here as you type.

How the schedule works

Two numbers, one week a year.

The last number: your month

There are only ten digits, so November and December are never anyone’s month.

Questions

Before you line up.

My plate ends in letters. Which number counts?

The last number on the plate, wherever it sits. On a motorcycle plate like 123 ABC, the 3 sets the month and the 2 sets the week. The checker above skips the letters for you.

My car is brand new. When do I first renew?

The first registration, usually done by the dealer, lasts three years. Check the validity printed on your OR. After that you renew every year, in your plate’s month and week.

Do weekends and holidays count?

Some guides count the week in working days, so a long weekend or a holiday can shift or shorten it. The dates here are a guide: your OR, and any LTO announcement for your plate ending, come first.

Can I renew early?

Guides say you can renew about a month before your week. It avoids the queue on the last days and any late fee.

What if I miss my week?

Motoring guides list a ₱200 late fee for missing your week, and a penalty of 50% of the MVUC once your month has passed. Driving an unregistered vehicle can cost ₱10,000. Check LTO for the current amounts.

What do I usually bring?

Guides list your latest OR and CR, a valid ID, CTPL insurance, and a passed emission test, done before you go. Requirements can change, so check with your LTO office or the LTMS portal first.

Has LTO ever moved the schedule?

Yes. LTO has extended the windows for some plate endings before, by memorandum. When that happens, the announcement wins over the usual schedule.

Never miss your week

Waldazz remembers it for you.

Waldazz is a payday planner for Filipino money, and it keeps your car’s papers too. Under My vehicles:

  • Your OR and CR, behind Face ID, folded away until you tap Show photos.
  • The renewal dates read from the OR, or suggested from your plate like this page does.
  • Reminders two months and one month before the registration and the insurance, with what to bring.
